I keep and occasionally breed West Siberian Laikas. This is a naturally treeing dog. No training is needed. Just take your puppy in woods and let him run free. It will start by age of 4 to 10 months. Squirrels by day, raccoons by night.  If you have a house on land or have access to a national or private forest, you will hunt squirrel, raccoon, grouse and wild turkey. This is the best protection dog, if you have bears in the area. A perfect family dog. This is a favorite dog of people living of land in Siberia. Now, Laika hunters are in Arkansas, Virginia, West Virginia, Texas, Lousiana and Ohio.

I thought Siberia didn't have many trees.
