I posted the same over on TSP.

Has anyone tried this?  I haven't bought the book yet, but came across a blog about how to do it.  It only takes 5 minutes a day if you are only talking about when you are actively touching the dough.  Mixing the dough takes about 5 minutes, then on baking day it takes about 2 minutes to get the dough formed and into the oven.  But it bakes for 30 minutes and it takes about 45 minutes for the dough to rise before baking.

This recipe is just flour, water, salt & yeast.  The book is supposed to have 100 recipes in it, and they have a follow up book with "healthier" recipes.

It turned out pretty good in a free-form loaf.

But not as good in a loaf pan.  I think that I didn't have enough dough.  The batch makes up about 3 pounds of dough, so I only had 1 pound after making the loaves above.  If I used 1.5 pounds, it would likely have filled the pan better.  Next time I'll make 2 loaves in loaf pans.

Yep, I have the book and did it.  I even bought a book for my friend.  But now I'm wheat free, gluten free.... The bread is easy and awesome!!

just look up bread in 5 a day. There are some videos on their site that pretty much explain it.  The bread is super crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside!

Do you have a link to the blog?
I have it on my own blog now.

I would post to the main one I found, but I've since found out that the "writer" posted directly from the book.  I'd rather not send any hits to someone that's doing things like that.

This certainly is easy.  I mixed up the dough last night and the container is in the beer fridge.  I made up a boule before going down to the bus stop for my daughter.  It was ready to bake in about 45 minutes.  I baked it and we will have it with dinner.

I've been making this bread several times over the past couple weeks.  Today I decided to give bread bowls a try.  I don't know if they will hold up to soup, but we are going to give it a shot.  These use 8 ounces of dough and are baked for about 25 minutes.

The Queen has been making her own pizza, dough and all, She is about to start making bread, but she wants a good set of bread pans and a good bread knife.
For $2.00 I picked up a bread slicing frame from Goodwill a while back, so we have that.

When she bakes everything she uses is organic.
She uses a bread machine I bought used for about $10 to make the dough. The Queen just dumps the ingredient in, punches buttons and walks away. It mixes the proper amount of time, raises the temp and lets it rise, then kneads it more and lets it rise depending on your recipe. I bought her this so she can make bread. She had both of her wrists operated on. She messed them up wringing out chothes so much the years we lived in the Dominican Republic. So, I have to try to take care of her with things, when I can

This bread is no knead.  Just mix it up in the container and let it rise.

I made some pizza from scratch last night.  I cooked it in our new cast iron pan.  Turned out really good.

Fritz - did you ever get the book?  I made the bread first today and love it!  I just don't know how much I'd use the recipes in the book...
and, I think I read somewhere that there's also a new "sweets" bread book by them too.

Nope, I still haven't gotten around to it.  Only so much time.  I've been concentrating on the blog, the garden prepping and the camper.

I have a couple of gift cards, so will probably get it soon.
