I tested the brew system today and worked out a couple of kinks and all is well now. I heated and pumped water from the hot liquor tank to the mash tun, then to brew kettle, brought it to a boil, then pumped it to the fermenter. All is good! I had to learn to adjust the height and location of the burner under kettle to get maximum heat, but when I did, you talk about heat to kettle transfer! I was told I could not boil 3 barrels of wort, but man, I can bring it to a boil in less than an hour! That 360 thousand BTU burner rocks. It took 2 1/2 gal of propane to do the boil, way less that anticipated. New years day brew here I come :-)

I brewed a barrel of beer on the brew system I built for the first time, on the first day of the year.
It is in the fermenter. Next batch will be 3 or 4 barrels. I need to order a pallet of bottle I guess.

Looks like a heck of a system, Johnny. Follow that dream!

If you're not using the 360 kBTU burner next winter, we might be able to use it, to reheat the state of Oklahoma!

While I am at it, are you planning to be able to ship to Oklahoma?

We are doing this debt free, so we will start small and sell close and as we grow we will be selling farther and farther away, so eventually we will be  Smiley
