We are back in the chic business

While I was at home last time I bought my 10 year old 6 pet chickens from tractor supply.
We got 3 Cornish rocks and 3 Red pullits. I think 2 of the cornish rocks are roosters. For a temporary pen I bought the smallest kids swimming pool Wal Mart had ($11.88) He absolutly loves those chicks. Him and his brother keep them watered and feed, They change the wood shavings 2 twice a week. I was pleasantly supprised that the wood shavings assorbed all the poop smell
unlike straw that did not.

Congratulations on your chicks,
I remember when i was younger and raising chics. It's fun to watch them grow and mature into chickens, those chic's will make memories for them. And the responsibility they are taking in raising them, that's the best thing for them while they are young. We use wood chips also, my opinion is it is a lot easier to clean up then the straw.
