I am thinking the severe drought will not return this summer, although many say it will.
We went all summer last year with no rain, I believe we will have evening thunder storms like normal this year. Now if we have a high pressure system stop on us in July and august it won't rain until it moves on East.

As far as the almost record number of days Texas had over a 110 degrees, I don't think it will be that hot this year.
I hope I am right.
I am rigged up to cover my growbeds with sun screen, so I hope to have a good Spring garden as long as nothing takes it out.
What does the farmer's Almanac say about the weather?

Now that's a good question, If Ya ponder round might just get it right. The weather man sure isn't.  Cry  From what we've already had, and what we had for a winter. I think we're going to be Warmer than usual and dry for a long period, and then get more ran than we need. We haven't had enough rain to even get my garden growing, And we've had wind this Spring. More than usual.  Undecided I looked at the farmers almanac when I first got it, it was saying we were suppose to get a lot of snow. And we didn't, so it's laying in my office. I'll read up, it was fairly close years ago. Now Shocked Well. Undecided Lips sealed

My prediction, HangOn!  It is going to be a wild year!  Last week it was July here now it is snowing just to the west.  Hope it isn't a drought in the east.  My prediction is chaos and unpredictable weather patterns.

I vote for wild year also Smiley

we were in the 80s.  started getting the pool ready....then bam.  freezing again.  I hate the tease weather.  we are COLD right now.  covered the mater plants and more.

the wind yesterday was COLD and it felt like winter.  that bite in the wind is nasty

summer for us I think will be 'normal'   good rain, good heat without going overboard.   Usually we are more drought like and super hot but it has been changing toward more decent rain and decent high heats.   So I hope I get a good mix for this summer.

just gotta wait and see

I vote for normal weather, but not CrAzY like last year.
That means, tornadoes like average from here on out, short (not long) droughts produced as a high pressure systems develop and stalls.
Average number of hurricanes. You may have events that cause local flooding if a low pressure develops and moves off too slowly.
I expect 98 degree days and 100% humidity in July and August here..... like normal, but with a little rain scattered in this year.
If that happens, it will be normal. I hope!

So far so good, We have actually been having evening thunderstorms caused by natural heating. We did not get any of that last year. I think it will still be a little below average rain (unless we get a few good tropical storms this summer).
No record number of tornado's like last year so far. I do expect a few hurricanes like normal.
I still stand by my prediction. Smiley

I am hoping you are right too.  We are just getting normal afternoon thundershowers.  Apparently the weirdness has abated for a while.

It has been in the 70's the last couple of days, but today the high is 57.
I got bit by a few mosquitos too!
We need a bug killing freeze, or Spring is going to be Bug HELL!
We have not even had a freeze yet Huh
When we had a hard Winter a couple of years ago, we had freezing weather in October, it is 3 months later this year and still no freeze!
On a good note, if it is not a harsh Winter the tilapia in my pond should survive the Winter  Smiley

I think it's going to get cold in late January and early February.

We're about due for another snow or ice storm....

Cold, lower than average snowfall winter.  I think summer will be warmer than average again with less than average rainfall.
