Here is the first of the compost water melons.  My wife however jumped the gun thinking it was ready.  Oh well back to the compost pile.

We often get volunteer melons (cantaloupe, watermelon, etc) in our compost pile. The chickens usually get to them, before we do.. lol

Before I bought this one my wife started dumping stuff in one area ( the area of course I said not too since it is the area that the home generator will go once we get it .. but who listens to me )



So this spring everything started popping up.  Granted most of it is a big grass hill.  My wife did not want to follow the directions for the first 2 batches of compost, but now that she puts everything in it and black soilder flys come it is working pretty good.
