It is I, ppillard, renowned builder of weird stuff, homesteader wannabe, and all around good guy.  I have been listening to this podcast for a good while now and I am overdue to join the forum.  I've been meaning to duck in here for a long time, but I never seemed to have the time.  But really, it's like the Merovingian said in the second Matrix, "How can we ever take time if we do not first make time".  Made sense, really, so I am making time.

Not only that, but we are so few and far between that it has become apparent that if I ever wish to connect with like-minded souls, it will have to be via the internet.

I have ten acres in East Texas that I would love to carve into a permacultured, self-sufficient isle of sanity.  Got me some chickens, and a worthless donkey (his only contribution is to the compost pile).  I would eventually like to have goats, rabbits and the like, but first I think I will focus on gardening and growing duckweed and such to feed the animals with.

I have me a big tank for tilapia, and I plan on a helluva greenhouse for them to live in.  As a matter of fact, I have way too many plans to list in this post.

I've been running waste vegetable oil as fuel in my diesels for the last ten years, and still going strong.

I really look forward to sharing my projects with you guys, and reading up on yours!

How can we feed the world?
How can we create conditions to enable every community to feed itself?
