Francesco Calvo, Juventus’ revenue and football development manager, is leaving his role to take up the role of CEO of Aston Villa.
Calvo has been with Juventus on two occasions, serving in various roles between 2011 and 2014 and until now in 2022.
In addition to his CEO duties, during both spells the executive was also Chief Revenue Officer at Barcelona, a position he previously held at Roma.
“He will be the Aston Villa CEO, something he couldn’t do at Juventus, where Maurizio Scanavino is covering the same role. It’s about ambition and accepting a new challenge in the most competitive league in Europe. Calvo will have a better role. It’s a personal and professional choice.”

Juventus currently sit fourth in the Serie A table, level on 64 points with Lazio and just one point above Roma.
Their next home game is against Udinese at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.
