Norwich winger Borja Sainz has been banned for six games for spitting. At an opponent during a game against Sunderland last month.

The incident occurred in the 74th minute of the game but was not seen by referee Leigh Daghty and Sainz remained on the pitch. Sainz was charged by

the FA and hit with a six-match ban and a £12,000 fine after accepting the charge. The ban

will see him miss Saturday’s FA Cup third-round clash with Brighton, as well as games against Sheffield United, Leeds United, Swansea City and Watford.

If Norwich progress to the next round, he will be suspended for that game, while the rest will see him miss Derby County or Preston. “Spitting

at an opponent is completely out of character and my actions at that time were unacceptable. I am deeply sorry for what I did and I take full responsibility,” Sainz said.

“I would like to apologise directly to Chris Mepham for my actions. And I would also like to apologise to my team-mates, coaching staff and our fans. เว็บพนันออนไลน์ UFABET สมัครง่าย โปรโมชั่นมากมาย And I am very disappointed with myself and sorry for letting you down with my actions,”

said Sainz. Sainz has been a key player for Norwich at the moment, scoring 15 goals in 26 Championship games as they sit four points off the promotion play-off places.
